Silver Fast has software for all the major scanners, from entry-level into desktop publishing and into the higher end as well. Silver Fast is available for Epson, Umax, Microtek, Agfa, Polaroid, Nikon and other entry level scanners as well as scanners from Howtek and Cruse. Silver Fast was the scanner software of choice for the Leica S1 scanning camera as well. If I remember correctly SilverFast is also the scanner software for the Seitz digital panoramic cameras.

SilverFast comes in Ai (Artificial Intelligence) professional version, SilverFast SE (lite version), SilverFast DC (digital camera software), and SilverFast HDR (to edit 16-hit RAW files).

Actually, with the new generation of scanner software, you should be able to improve your scanning directly at the source, namely as your image is being digitized the first time on the scanner.
