	GretagMacbeth is an international leader in color management tools. A related company, Gretag Imaging, is in the high-end of color digital printing equipment. If your graphics studio, digital photo study, prepress, or service bureau has advanced needs (or aspires to reach this level), then you should check out GretagMacbeth color measurement equipment. Gretag makes the Spectrolino, a hand held spectrophotometer to measure monitors and reflective colors. Gretag is a Swiss company so you can expect precision workmanship and attention to fine detail. The Gretag SpectroScan is an optional unit which may be used on conjunction with the Spectrolino. You can use the SpectroScan for measuring IT8 reference files. Naturally both of these Gretag color measuring instruments work together with ColorSynergy color management software. Gretag (a Swiss company) bought Macbeth, an American color company several years ago. Macbeth makes the Macbeth ColorChecker, surely used or at least known by all professional photographers. I especially like the mini-version, since it fits more easily into the photo. This impressive ColorChecker DC has been replaced by an even more up to date version in 2004. We are waiting to receive the improved version. The color image here is a small portion of the much larger GretagMacbeth ColorChecker which includes another dozen color samples.
