If your children learn to handle flatbed scanning color management software today, they will be able to pay for their own college tomorrow. Digital imaging is a high paying job and now is a good time to start self-training. Rather than waste time watching TV, kids can create their own shows starting with a flatbed scanner. Children's rooms are already filled with all kinds of natural subjects which can be easily scanned.
Here is a 3-dimensional horse, made in Mexico from rope. It is about 6 inches or perhaps 20 cm long. As you can see, flatbed scanners are not limited to handling flat objects. Most people buy a flatbed scanner to scan photographs but the same scanner can handle 3-D objects surprisingly well.

Most of our updates for November 2004 onward are in FLAAR Reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. It is more efficient for us to make new information available in PDF format. So if the web page itself is not updated, check out www.wide-format-printers.NET to see if the printer, RIP, or other subject is covered in an update in a PDF download. |
